Pilates is a form of exercise that was first created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. A full-body programme that emphasises the mind-body connection, focus is placed on controlled movements that are fluid and balanced. Many people start doing Pilates to build their core strength, but it will actually help develop your overall strength as well. By practising Pilates regularly, you will start to see better mobility, flexibility, agility and improved coordination, as well as allowing the mind some time to switch off. Pilates is an effective exercise program for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels.
While Pilates is at our core, we love variety. That is why we continue to develop our knowledge and skills, working with professional instructors who will bring you originality, variety and personality in our classes. Live Classes include Cardio & Interval Training, Run Club, Pilates for Sport, Foundations of Pilates, Chair & Standing Class and Yoga coming soon. Contact us or visit our Live Class Schedule to read more about these classes.
During the April 2020 lockdown, we donated an Online Back Care Class to NHS Staff and also presented 10-minute Pilates sessions for the BBC Radio Shropshire audience. Taking place over the course of 12 weeks, these sessions were held live with Mark Elliott and were supported with YouTube videos. We are also proud to be regular contributors to Cancer Research UK, and have other exciting projects coming soon.
